Meet Snowflake....our new German Angora Rabbit. I had been looking for an Angora rabbit for some time now. I was lucky enough to find one in my area not too long ago. She is mostly white with a few black markings seen on her ears and a dot on her nose. So cute!

We are hoping to spin some of her angora soon. I will try to post my progress when I can! Warning: I don't have much experience with spinning! This'll be fun!

Euro Wrap Aprons

Here are a few photos of the Aprons or Tops that we have been making. I thought that I had made up this pattern all on my own...however, after doing alittle internet searching...it appears that someone else had thought of this pattern way before I did! So I will be calling it the Euro Wrap. It can be used as an apron, dress (if it is long enough), or as an over top.

We like this style because we can make it as long as we like. Some shirts are just too short and shows the midriff (spelling?) And others are just too tight. This design solves that problem and lengthens the wear on our shirts!

This cuddler is a combination of red and green yarns. Nice and soft. Great for newborns.

This is another one in a nice green. My daughters enjoy knitting up these little bundlers! Also sized for Newborn.

I absolutely love this color! The picture is made for newborn. WE have recently made a larger one sizeing in at almost 30" long. Custom ordered.
Sometimes these can come in handy as bundlers for the average family...Not just for photographers. If your baby wiggles the blankets off, then the cocoon/cuddler may be the answer. If it is long enough where the little tike doesn't kick the ends.. It might just keep him snuggley and warm.

.....Another thought...If you cloth diaper, then these would be great made in wool!

It has been a few months since I've posted. But we have been busy! We have new hats available on Ebay. I have enjoyed looking at the photo shoots of infants wearing only hand made hats or bundled in a cocoon.

And with the Holiday Season upon us... It can't get much better!

The hat below was knitted by my oldest son. Not bad.This yellow pixie hat was crocheted by me. There is a nice lacey stitch to the body. Not a good view of that in this picture. These little pixie or stocking hats are adorable with the tail end lane across the back of the baby.This one below is not a pixie hat...but I still like the stretchy brim.

Here is our Baby Jacob. He is a preemie sculpt by Jessica Schenk. I chose not to root this little guy. I will probably give that a try on my next Reborn Doll. However, I did root his eye lashes.

I put a little wet look near his eye, nose and mouth. I am also pretty happy with they way his hands came out. Not a very good picture of the hands. He looks adorable in his knitted hat. He has a fully jointed body.
He was reborned on the 10th of August.

Welcome back to our blog. I would like to show you our new baby! Born on August 10th! She was reborned by Shannon. We like to work on babies at the same time. Mine is not completed as of yet. I'll be posting when he is completed.

Baby Sera is a newborn sized sculpt by Marissa May. She has been painted with non-toxic air dry paints and has been given the wet look on her lips, nose, and crease of the eyes. Rooted mohair for the eyelashes.

Update: Benjamin now lives in North Andover, MA with his new family!

Here is our new Reborn Baby ....Benjamin! Reborned July 6th. This little guy turned out very nice. He weighs about 4lbs. And is about 19.5" long. I used Non-toxic air dry paints that will never peel or fade.

This is a back view of our new cover. A little large but so cute.

This wool was hand dyed with Kool-Aid.

We enjoy trying new colors, mixing the colors and experimenting with shades to see what comes out. This color reminds me of strawberries or the inside of watermelon! Or maybe I'm just hungry?

The rise on this pair is 20". A little large, however, the waist can be folded down to get a shorter rise. Which means you can get a lot of wear with this size.

Here are a couple of signs that we have done. They were hand painted by one of my daughters. She really enjoys painting! These are one of her first Wooden Signs. She has painted beautiful flowers on glass using the Donna Dewberry technique. (I'll have to take photos of those one day and post them). These signs were painted using stencils.

Here is our first recycled woolie! We ventured out to the local thrift store and found a striped sweater to experiment on. We love to try out new things and recycled longies was our next project. The inside has been serged to prevent the material from unraveling. And elastic has been added around the waist. It was too big for our 1 year old and fits our 3 yr old perfectly around the bum! But was a bit short in the legs.

There is a rolled brim and small knot at the very tip of the hat.

I am anxious to try this hat with other colors. Especially now that Christmas is so close! So cute!

This is a new longies pattern I have been working on. These two pair are actually in acrylic. However, I hope to make a few in wool for my little one for the winter. Perhaps I'll do a little lace work around the cuffs. The darker pair are size 16"waist, 16" rise, 8" inseam. The yellow is 16" waist, 18" rise and 9" inseam.

The pattern used was sized for 6-12 months. This sock measures 4.25" from Heel to Toe.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I wanted to come up with a pair of longies. Our shorties have been working very well and this was the next project. So...

This is our first pair of wool longies! They turned out beautifully. We tried these on a 9 month old and the fit was just right. They measure 16" around the waist, 18" rise and 9.5" inseam. I will be making a few of these for the winter!

Wool Sleep Sack

This is not a great picture. But it is called a Wool Sleep Sack. It is used for baby usually at night to make diaper changing easier and to keep baby a little warmer. It is used over cloth diapers. I would prefer this sleeper for newborns because of their tiny legs. This would be easier to work with than the soakers for the little babies. In my opinion. I didn't have one for my little one, although, I wish I did.

This diaper cover turned out beautifully! I dyed the wool with blue and yellow. The waist and legs were knitted with undyed wool. It measures 18" x 18".

This Diaper Cover was made with 100% pure virgin wool. The waist and legs have been knitted with a hand dyed wool. Using a pink and purple combination, I have come up with this color. I like the look of the dyed wool against the white body of this cover. I'll probably color some more wool when I get a chance.

Another photo of our wool shorts. These measure about 16" x 17" . These were made with pure virigin wool that contains the natural oils. If you are a cloth diapering Mom and would like a more comfortable option than vinyl covers... I suggest wool soakers.

Well.... The pink soaker is rather nice. But the other two didn't work out too well. I have the pink listed on ebay. And I'm thinking of recoloring the other two. There is a multicolored ball of yarn that I'll incorporate into another cover when I can get some more wool!

The ball of yarn is very pretty. I'm going to use it as the ribbing and leg cuffs with a natural colored yarn for the body!

I am expecting that the next group of wool covers to come out better. Practice makes Perfect!!
